Health and safety law for LEVs

As an employer, you are legally responsible for protecting your workers from hazardous substances. If you decide to use extraction systems (LEVs) to remove the dusts, fumes, vapours etc then you must keep the LEVs in efficient working order and have a periodic examination at least every 14 months.

You must then keep this record for at least 5 years. If you ask LEV LEICESTER to perform your test, then we will store your results securely online for the 5 year minimum, so that you can always have access to your record.

Penalties

It's worth know that non-compliance with the regulations covering the maintenance of LEVs could result in unlimited fines or worse, a potential jail term.

Peace of mind

Our fully trained examiners will ensure your LEV equipment is up to the correct standard, saving you costly repairs or replacements. We will complete a full test and issue a report showing compliance, which we hold in secure online storage for you.

LEV regulations

The Control of Substances Hazard to Health (COSHH) regulation 9 makes employers responsible for the maintainance of any measures which control dust and fume exposure for their workers, including the regular testing of LEVs.
